Very good answers so far, and not sure I will add any new insight, but it is true...LOVE & GRACE are always the best way. Depending on whom it was, would also depend on how you handle the situation. Is the local church board involved, the pastor, etc...

The same way I deal with someone who lies. confront them with grace and love and pray for and with them about God's voice to speak.

Hey,
I'm sorry, I think we need more information about the situation before we can comment on how to "deal" with it. Is this with students, leaders, are the people in your ministry? are they christians? has it been brought up? we need ALOT more information.

When you say abomination sin, are you talking exclusively of same sex sin, or including necromancy (Deut 18:12), eating unclean food (Deut 14), lame sacrifices (Deut 17:12), or just those of "crooked heart" (Proverbs 11:20) [ESV].

I think the first thing is that I'd be careful how I use the term abomination sin, and speak truth in love. Personally, I'd be very careful to make sure that my words come out in a very loving way with an obvious heart for the person's best, restoration, etc.
