I think using the persecuted church to bring awareness about the amazing faith of our brothers and sisters around the world is a great way to be used by God in a Romans 8:28 kinda way. I do "underground church" as a game with our youth group, and it is their favorite game (has been for two years now). One time I contacted VOM and got a free speaker to come in and talk to my students. I sent him to a state park that has a mile long boardwalk over the water to a dock with benches. I set clues around the church that led students to Bibles (so each student would have one), with the final clue giving them the password to give their driver who took them to the park where they found the speaker. Our kids loved it!

I have also used Underground Vietnam as a resource, and it got a real positive response. The have a second reality dvd out now as well. Get signed up for their monthly newsletters as that will provide you with a lot of info as well. I love nachoooo's idea.

I actually used Voice of the Martyrs' "Underground Vietnam" last year. I think it was a 6 or 8 week study. You could also do a book study on "Jesus Freaks" or "Foxe's book of Martyrs"

I received this curriculum in the mail from inter'linc I am planning to use it in conjuction with the above mentioned materials after we return from dare 2 share's un. the tour.

I haven't yet but this coming spring I am using a tool that another youth pastor I know does. It's an underground church. Different stations will be set up where students will move through and hear leaders impersonate persecuted Christian's tell their story. I will pull people from long ago, even Biblical characters to more current. Each station will be decorated to bring more of a sensation to the character (i.e. if they are in prison make it feel like a prison cell, etc...) His kids really like it and I am looking forward to utilizing it with my group.
