Don't know someone myself, but God can use anyone who loves him and shares HIS truth in LOVE. Now I wasn't at the game, so not sure if he was sharing in love or not, but you know sometimes the truth hurts!

I'll give them credit for not being bashful about their faith and about trying to reach others, however, I'm not going to be one of them.

As for JTB, while it was a different time, his message was different than most of the street preachers you see. I don't believe JTB told people to repent because Hell is here, but instead he preached the Kingdom of God was here. He was proclaiming Christ. Most of these guys proclaim hell more than the Kingdom...to fear people into Salvation.

In my opinion, most people just think these people are weirdos and walk on.

While this is totally opposite to my low-pressure relational approach to ministry, I can't help but echo what Todd said that there's a huge amount of similarity between this guy and John the Baptist. However, maybe in JTB's day he was less of a social anomoly than your bullhorn guy, but who knows? I didn't live in biblical times. Something about wearing dead animal pelts and eating bugs screams out "WEIRDO"! I guess the question is, is he calling others to repent or calling others to be like him? If people think repentance means acting like him, they're probably turned off. Good answer, Todd.

We have one here in our city. Smokey is his name. Stands on that corner with his cross and bull horn just going at it. Now, admittedly, this may not be the most effective way to lead people to Jesus, the same could be said about John the Baptist standing in camel hair and yelling "REPENT!".

What I love about these guys is this.. they remind me God is less concerned about how effective we think we are being, or our numbers that we reach, and more concerned about us just being obedient. If he even brings one to Christ in the course of his life, it was all worth it.

As David said to Michal.. I will even become more undignified then this. Oh, if only I could stand boldly like they do and proclaim my faith.

I'm sure someone has. I mean, if God can talk through a jackass (Numbers 22) then he can speak through a bullhorn guy. I've personally never heard of one tho
