Good curriculum/ good ideas for a "Young Adult" 18- 30's class?
We're starting a new ministry for a growing group in our church of recent HS grads- late 20s. What kinds of ideas/ lessons/ events/ etc will help us in ministering to them?

In my experience with college/young adult ministry, this is an age-group that really enjoys hanging out because they have a lot of time (free from parents home, not yet married, most don't have full-time jobs), however, many don't have the funds to do a lot of elaborate activities. So sometimes just providing space for them to be together is great. Also, it's a critically thinking age-group, so as far as teaching goes, don't feel like you need to water anything down. Engage with serious/relevant issues and give them a lot of opportunity to dialog and form opinions. Last thing, I've never seen a college ministry thrive that didn't have significant internal leadership. The college students/young adults really have to own it for it to work. |
