Whether its better to go to college on-line or in a traditional setting depends a lot on the person. When I went to seminary I had most classes in the classroom, but a few online. I didn't like the online courses nearly as much because you miss out on the person-to-person interaction. I have a friend getting his bachelor's entirely on-line, though, and he loves it. One thing for sure is that you need to be very self-disciplined in order to take classes on-line.

And if you find an on-line school but you're not sure if its a good one, or a good fit for you, have them send you more info plus see if you can speak with former & current students. And ask your pastor what he thinks as well.

I would suggest going to a college that has a main campus and offers online courses. There cost is often 1/2 of regular tution and you know you are getting a legit education. If your main concern is finances, definately go the cheaper route. I doubt that god wants you to go into debt to serve him....especially if you can avoid or minimize it. There are alot of solid options out there to choose from, where do you live?

Hey this is the same guy but for some odd reason, I cant log into the my first account. I live in Detroit.

I am currently working for a church half time while doing a Bachelor's degree online, there are a lot more challenges to doing a degree by distance, especially with disciplining yourself to get the work done and the lack of interaction with professors and other students.

On the flip side, doing my degree by distance has been a great benefit, as I am getting in years of real world experience, and it also keeps my schooling grounded in the reality of what ministry is. Sometimes when in school we get stuck in the realm of education and aren't able to apply things properly, usually an internship helps with this, but it doesn't beat hands on experience.

Send me a message if you want to talk more about this.

This the same guy but for some reason, I cannot log into my account. Yes I would like to know more. I am a newbie and I want to be a pastor. I can be a Youth, children, small group or anything the Lead Pastor wants. I just have the heart to serve. What would be your best option? Go to online college? Its hard to find one. I find Southwestern Assemblies of God U but I am not sure.
