Are any of you going to take your youth to see YS's "To Save a Life"?
I just saw a preview of To Save a Life and have to say that I believe Youth Specialties and Newsong production did an amazing job with this movie. I was wandering what you all were planning on doing. (rent out theatre, give out tickets, take a group, etc) website is www.tosavealifemovie.com

I took a few students to see a preview screening of it recently when it came through our area and was also very impressed with the movie and it's quality. Very real portrayal of h.s. life and the struggles they are facing. Considering making this a group event/outreach in Jan. when it comes out. Just waiting for the release date and locations. My students and I had some good discussions after leaving the theatre about the themes of the movie and how we were challenged by it's message.
Side note: I don't think YS was involved in the making of the movie, just helping promote it. (Outreach Films is behind it)

I plan to go to a pre-screening and check it out and then decide from their. We watched Fire Proof at our church at the end of a marriage series and despite some saying it was cheesy, GOD was glorified in the movie and it honored GOD! Hoping the same for to save a life! |

I saw the preview and I cannot get past some of the wooden acting and stereo typical lines. The students may like it and if they want to go I'll take them. Sorry, I am a movie snob and even harder on christian movies. |

We have a few prescreenings that we have set for YP's and Yworkers in Arkansas...I am taking all of my adults that can fit it into our schedule and yes we will promote it with our students. If any of you are in AR and want to see it...we will have a 2:00pm and 6:30 screening of it on Nov 12 in Little Rock. For youth pastors/workers. Link Details: 3 years ago

Not sure that I will take a group to go see it. I will promote it and encourage to go see.I will go with notepad in hand so that I can pull discussion questions for it (which I probably can find some online) |

I saw an early screening of TSAL a few weeks ago. I was very impressed with the movie, and how it took a real look at life in high school. We will be promoting this movie within our student ministry, and I hope that we will be able to take a group to go see this movie together. |
